Canada 2012!!!

If you follow me on Intagram or Facebook you have seen all of these great pictures.

We were blessed to be able to visit our sweet friends in Nova Scotia, Canada. My sweet friend Angie's family live in a small village called St Peter's. That Saturday they had a local parade. The girls were part of a float and David rode on the fire truck. They had a blast.

Here is where they were setting everything up. My friend Angie's cousin Fonda and her family were soooo sweet to have us stay with them. Their house was amazing, it looked like a bed and breakfast with the Atlantic Ocean in the back.

Angje's family was soooo awesome they invited us on a boat adventure where Albert and the kids swam. The water was so cold but somehow Mya and Albert were able to handle it. YIKES!

Angie's sister in law was such a great host and we had a great meal on the boat.

Yes the Texans in the freezing cold lake with the Canadians. Please note I was NOT going in. They were lucky they got me on the boat HA!

Apparently they don't have many Starbucks in Canada but my word these people have tons of Tim Hortons. It was truly good~~ loved the Fraps.

Best fish and chips for such are found in Canada. This one was in St. Peter's but we also had some in Halifax and oh my word they were awesome.

Paula my dear friend was our host in Halifax. This girl sure knows where to take us shopping. We had a great time with her and her sweet family. We toured Halifax and attended the local  Buskers festival sooo fun!!

This sweet girl is Madison she's Paula's niece. We had a great time with them. Smith and Blake were her nephews and they were sooo fun to hang out with.

Our last day Paula took us over to visit our mutual friend Debbie's family. They were so incredibly sweet to us. We ate soooo much and had a blast in the water.

This flag pole greeted us when we arrived at the camp in Bridgewater on Thursday. Notice the Texas flag too. So amazing.

Yup this was the best vacation ever and Canadians sure know how to make people feel at home eh!!!

the never ending post

This summer has been busy ya'll,. sorry about the very late post. Lots of sleepovers, lots of staying up late and lots of fun!!!

Mya is part of the Sharks~~ it's our neighborhood swim team. She loves it and I love that she truly enjoys it!!

David has changed his name ~~now his name is Spiderman.....

Work is getting better. It seems we are all getting adjusted to all the changes. I did start some therapy for my anxiety. As most of you all know I have suffered from anxiety for years. It comes and goes. I have been through therapy before and I love the Houston Center for Christian Counseling. They are so good in treating all sorts of issues. The stress of the  new building to me felt like I was a brand new nurse and I just needed some help. I feel sooo much better!!!

Don't you love a great deal!! Got all this for about thirty bucks. YAY!!

anddddd...... friends my dream in life has been to visit Canada. We are planning a trip to Nova Scotia in August I could cry but I won't I will smile and enjoy!!!

All we have to do is wait......

Dear friends yesterday was a day of great news. We are soooo excited that Mya is doing great in school now. I received an email yesterday from her teacher stating she will pass to 5th grade. See friends Mya was in private school  for 8 years. This past school year she started at our neighborhoods public school. She is soooo smart and we were blown away with how her grades were dropping. We joined with her teachers and her tutor and had a plan. Our plan was to help her as much as we could. The school system did a great job in joining forces too. This was so frustrating to me. The thing that ran through my mind the most was WHY?? The only thing I can think of was how different the schools were. I will never say anything bad about our little private school just that it was totally different. Mya has learned to adjust and has made incredible new friends. I do have a big meeting today so keep praying but I know everything will be just fine.
On another note looks like my mom will close on her house next week. I know it's not final but it's getting there. So excited for them!!!!
Our sweet neighbors the Stuber's had some great news too. Looks like daddy Stuber will be able to stay in H-town instead of leaving the family for a year. He is in the army. We have been praying really hard on this one. They are soooo sweet and have two sets of twins. So yay, yay, yay for that!!!!
So these things above have been heavy on my heart for months. We prayed and continue to pray. I know it's hard to wait on the Lord but it is HIS timing not ours. As humans we want it now and not later right?? Well I believe God leads us and helps us through it all. Sometimes our prayers are not answered but he always has a reason. All we have to do is wait......

Celebrating our Christmas baby in May!!!

Our sweet Emmy is a December babe as many of you may know. Due to our busy schedule in December we never got around to celebrate her with a party. We took her to dinner and got her gifts but didn't have a party. All she talked about was a Tangled party.... we quickly began planning a party for her last week. Somehow it all came together. With the help of my neighbors the Stuber's we pulled it off. They kept her and David while we set up the place. Oh and at 1:30 pm  I asked her what she wanted for her party in December and she said all I want is a bouncy house. A WHAT????Seriously it was 1:30pm the party was at four so I quickly called my former neighbor who has a bouncy house biz and he hooked us up. Bouncy house arrived at 3:30pm. Whoa that was close!!

We had our family and friends come celebrate this sweet girl who did not expect anything but got it all~~~~Love you sweet Emmy!!!

What I'm Loving.....

 This Loreal Clinical Repair 10 is incredible. I have definitely noticed a difference.

this new blush is super fun.. it goes on as a cream but feels like a velvety powder on.

This BB cream is awesome too.

this NYC lipgloss has become one of my favorites~~ I found it at HEB and it goes on so smoothly and stays on. It comes in all sorts of fun colors!!!

Sperry's are my spring shoes

So my sweet friend Mer posted a coupon code for some Sperry's the other night and I thought well I do need some shoes for the coming season so why not!! So I placed my order and these cuties are on their way to mi casa soon. I wish I could be more adventurous and order some cute orange ones but NO!! I'm pretty bland HA! I figured these would work for me.

On another note the hair thing worked out she was such a sweet lady and now she will be coming to two other friend's homes to do their hair. That was such a funny thing, I never thought I would find a hair stylist at HEB, so funny!!

This morning my friend Dawn invited me over for authentic Huevos Rancheros that her former nanny is famous for. They were oh sooo yummy!!!We ate and had some great conversation!!

So things are finally falling into place. My sweet Mya is doing great in school. Her tutor is sooo great with her we are truly blessed to have met her. Her teachers are also so awesome. My sweet parents sold their home.... well they will close soon!! What a blessing they sold it in three days. About a year ago we started the plan on getting this house for us that has a secondary master downstairs just for them and we knew God's hands were on this the whole time. We are sooo beyond blessed to have them with us.

We are awaiting my family from Idaho today. I have not seen them in years so it should be fun. Yes peeps this little Hispanic girl in Texas has family in Idaho. It's kind of funny when I tell people, they look at me funny!!!
